The Mu Community was founded in 2023. It focuses on addressing real-world social issues and needs. It advocates for community members to develop open-source projects to assist a broader audience. Prior to this, the community received support from various organizations, including the Ethereum Foundation, Starknet Foundation, Starkware, Taiko, Scroll, and others. They have successfully organized events such as muChiangmai and muBuenos.

OP Chinese Power

The OP Chinese Community is an organization initiated by LXDAO, PlanckerDAO, GCC, and UpchainDAO, dedicated to promoting Optimism technology and the concept of public goods. It aims to serve as a bridge between the Chinese-speaking community and the Optimism ecosystem, facilitating two-way communication between the Optimism ecosystem and the Chinese-speaking community, and promoting the prosperity of public goods.

Summer of Protocols

"Summer of Protocols" is a project sponsored by the Ethereum Foundation, focusing on the research and creation of "protocols" from a humanities and social sciences perspective. Each project cycle lasts for one year and combines online and offline activities, with a primary emphasis on online activities. The full-time research and creative activities are concentrated in the months of July and August.

In the first season of "Summer of Protocols," the participation from the Chinese-speaking community was noticeably insufficient. We hope to see more researchers and creators from the Chinese-speaking region join the project to collectively shape the imagination of "protocols" and the broader intersection of technology and humanities.

Gitcoin Beta Round

Beta Round was held from April 25 to May 9, 2023. It consisted of 10 thematic donation pools, with the GCC Round sponsored by Plancker DAO and Loopring, who provided $25,000 in matching funds to support open-source projects within the Chinese Ethereum ecosystem.

Gitcoin Grant Round 18

GG18 occurred from August 15 to 29, 2023, and featured 7 thematic donation pools. The GCC Round was independently initiated by the GCC Fund and sponsored with $25,000 in matching funds. It supported various projects, including DeSpace QF, Blocktrend, Feidi Bookstore, and viaPrize.

Without the GCC's decision to continue donating to Chinese-language public goods during GG18, DeSci Asia may not have come into existence. We are grateful to the GCC for planting that seed.

GG19 took place from November 15 to 29, 2023. The GCC Round was sponsored by the GCC Fund, Mask Network, and Meta Pool, who jointly provided $30,000 in matching funds. Numerous projects were donated to, including Decert.me, Denglian Community, Metopia, and z2o-k7e.

Remix CC is a Chinese community dedicated to making Remix IDE more accessible to Chinese users. We provide full Chinese localization, mirror site hosting, and support through media channels and community groups.

GCC, in collaboration with various communities and media, launched a free ticket initiative, sponsored 10 tickets for outstanding builders from the Chinese-speaking region to attend DevConnect in November 2023.
